Most Korean schools have dirt playfields. This school, however, was the newly reconstructed alma mater of the just-retired president (who now lives in the same town). So little if no expense was spared on this place, including the (fake) grass field, two-lane track, exercise equipment and landscaping. This was the only day that I've seen students allowed on the field, though. Apparently, there are ruts under the turf surface and it needs to be redone.
