The first time an American Aircraft Carrier made a Port Call to Oslo, Norway in 1962 during NATO exercises.
The 8mm reels were spliced together to tell a coherant story of that visit.
Includes typical Navy stuff such as Flight Deck Parade, Gun Salutes and Liberty Call with the departure of open boats for Fleet Landing at the City Hall Complex in downtown,harbor side OSLO. Tourist sites in OSLO visited include The Norsk Folks Museum, Froggner Park Stauary and the Holmencollum Ski Jump.
Also included is a side trip that I made to Bergen (the North Sea side of Norway) to visit friends of the family on the fyord bound island of Syltavaag.
