At the All Candidates Forum on April 27, 2008, the candidates were asked about donations - if they had received any donations from BBI Construction, the contractor for the Lake Merritt Boathouse project, and if they think it's appropriate for a Council candidate to receive funding from a contractor asking for an additional $1.5 million from the City.
