In response to on-going media coverage of a lawsuit filed by a former employee, Sheriff Gobble reiterates that the action was frivolous, and completely unfounded.
"The public should understand the Sheriff's Office is audited by the state every year. After reviewing all financial records, state auditors confirmed that there are no irregularities."
Open payroll records show that all payrolls were appropriately paid and allegations to the contrary are false. He said no one has ever been paid for time they did not work, nor has he ever requested such a thing.
"This particular former employee is attempting to portray herself as a whistle-blower. This is completely false. She was terminated for legitimate reasons relating to her job performance and we weren't even aware that she was making any allegations until almost a year later when she filed this lawsuit."
