This is the second issue in the new grouping of the titans. Once again the threat which brought together the greatest team of young heroes together has reunited them to battle for the earth’s salvation. The story is just as good on this issue and it continues to move along. The humor is a little over the top but it works in this particular issue where there wasn’t a lot of action. The troubling thing is that they switched artists and I don’t think it works at all. The art is very loose and cartoony and I think that for this book it is terrible. Most of the time when a character was talking they were making some stupid fish version of the “o” face and how can you have Nightwing, one of the most serious guys in comics all stretched out and goofy looking. I wasn’t a fan of this move at all. Give Benitez a run on plastic man or something that is supposed to be light hearted and whacky.
