Cleveland 100 was instituted in 1996 to assist the loved ones of emergency responders who have lost their life during service to the community while in the line of duty. The vision of the late Courtney F. McGrady, who served a full career with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and City of Cleveland Mayor Tom Rowland founded Cleveland 100 with overwhelming support from the community. In 2004, a scholarship at Cleveland State Community College was named in McGrady's honor and is available to first responders who wish to continue their education.
