The first five looks we did completely covered in zips, I know I’m not really known for using colour and grey isn’t much of a colour but I thought it was nice to do a whole group that is just like armour, but it was also a little bit of an ode to my jewellery designer Judy Blim who is famous for using safety pins and zips. It was very abstractly based around the Wizard of Oz but I’d never use one reference point for my work so it’s a little bit like Dorothy Gale from the Wizard of Oz meets Predator so quite feminine shapes but in a very hard way, quite like armour. We had zips and safety pins and then we used pvc appliqué and the big appliqué was in leather, we used goat fur.
