The design of the pool and its facilities will be completed by this fall, construction will begin in spring 2009 and the facilities will be ready for next summer’s swimming season.
The reconstruction project will essentially involve building a new pool within the existing pool, repairing the existing pool deck area, replacing the roof of the pool building with materials made from recycled tires, removing lead-based paint from the building and installing the new water filtration and pumping system.
