Handcart reenactment "Trek" - Mormon youth activity that teaches about the hardships of the early pioneers crossing the country to the great Salt Lake. Many pioneers did not have the means to afford wagons and teams. Others gave up that comfort by sharing their money so that more pioneers could migrate. These treks attempt to teach strength and self reliance and church history. Hard work and fun are mixed to build relationships and demonstrate good leadership by adults/leaders. This video was put together by me and includes only my personal pictures and footage and is therefore heavy in footage of my girls. The Church stake is publishing their own video. This is not the "official" video of this trek.
