SYNOPSIS: The Country Doctoris a zero-budgetvideo short by directors Morgan Currie and Philip Scarborough. Its narrative was derived from the surreal Franz Kafka short story of the same name In the video, setting and time were altered to fit the contemporary landscape of the Mississippi Delta. The absurd sequence of events in their somewhat altered form has a Federico Fellini inspired, low-fi, lush aesthetic. Other influences during the making of this film were David Lynch, & Lars von Trier (& friends).
