* Countrywide Financial Corp. shareholders approved its sale to Bank of America Corp., but not before California and Illinois filed lawsuits against the largest U.S. mortgage lender. Bank of America is expected to close on the sale on July 1.
* On Monday June 30, TriZetto Group Inc. shareholders vote on a $1.4 billion take-private deal from Apax Partners.
* CEO Tilman J. Fertitta will buy the remaining 61% of Landry's Restaurants Inc. for about $1.3 billion.
* Orchard Enterprises NY Inc. has won the music-related assets of bankrupt independent music label TVT Records for more than $5 million.
* Music Nation is holding a contest, and the winner gets Original Signal/Epic Records contract and Gibson guitars.
