According to Adobe Systems' Colleen Berube, the job of the CIO is to understand what the needs of the business are and drive resources to meet those needs. The bridge from true innovation is creating something that can actually be meaningfully adopted by an organization.
Being open to creative and innovative ideas is key. But when CIOs actually listen with a hand on to their wallets is when theyâre hearing about something that's solving a business problem as well as taking into consideration the context of the organization—public or private.
