Respect for the rule of law and public confidence in the judiciaryâs ability to resolve disputes are essential to the establishment of a democratic Palestinian state. But widespread mistrust and misinformation about the legal and judicial system in the West Bank and Gaza pose barriers to this development.
The Arkan Supporting Rule of Law Reform Project, in partnership with universities and institutions, implemented the first externship program in West Bank and Gaza in order to give hands-on training to Palestinian law students.
