Sheila Coronel, one of my ultimate idols, was the 19th speaker of the UP Centennial Lecture Series on August 22, 2008.
This petite woman, who founded the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, is a Ramon Magsaysay awardee. She is currently a professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, the only journalism school among the Ivy League universities. She was tapped two years ago to be the university's inaugural director for its new Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism. (Her picture is featured in the school’s homepage.)
I'm in yellow behind the featured audiences.
