During our trip to China, we visited the Miao village of Xijiang. They are one of the many ethnic minorities in China. We were welcomed with a lighting of a firecracker, a traditional Miao song, and a drink (or rather a sip) of rice wine. We were also given this pink egg necklace, which I guess is like a lei, Chinese style.
