Gen Tokishima and Hoshimi Kimizuka were just a regular happy couple, or so they thought. One day after a date, a mysterious woman approaches Gen, claiming that he is the legendary Mapman, who is the last surviving member of the Nomad Star Tribe. Gen doesn't buy into it, at least until gigantic female-shaped spaceships begin looming over the city the next morning.
As it turns out the woman's name is Lipumira, and is one of the ships pilots. (She is also linked to her ship, serving as her lifesource.) However, one of her sisters is hunting her down, which results in a battle that nearly devastates Tokyo in the process.
