MARS Snackfood US yesterday unveiled the completed $70+ million expansion to its Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania plant, which produces some of the world's favorite chocolate brands such as DOVE(r) Chocolate, MILKY WAY(r) and 3 MUSKETEERS(r). Recently named the 'DOVE(r) Chocolate Center of Excellence,' the new expansion supports the growth of the premium chocolate category and furthers MARS Snackfood US' commitment to manufacturing 100 percent real chocolate for US consumers.
The company said that it pledged to continue to make real chocolate with 100% cocoa butter for its U.S. chocolate products and ongoing commitment to the local communities where its various manufacturing plants are located.
In addition to officially opening the DOVE(r) Chocolate Center of Excellence, Todd Lachman uncovered the "World's Largest DOVE Promise" comprised of over 9,000 DOVE(r) Dark Promises, to kick off a national contest.
