Lehigh Valley Band Day is a return to an old festival that was held in Bethlehem, Pa. during the 1970's called the "Globe-Times Band Festival". These shows were huge events with capacity crowds. It was held at the old TAYLOR STADIUM at Lehigh University. While researching old videos of Northampton, I came across this video from the old Globe-Times Festival featuring Freedom High School. It came as a surprise to me that it was my Senior Year at Freedom. So... here is a recording of the Freedom High School Patriot Band (with Mr. J marching!) in 1973. The quality of the recording is not great, but then again it IS ancient history.
