There are two ways that i know to change the opacity of an object.
1. Copy or cut the image and use the spraybrush tool to reapply it. Holding down the left click will make your object less opaque.
2. Go to the layers and select the one you want to change the opacity for. There is a little bar type thing above the layers that says opacity. Adjust it there.
