Lassie. An old prospector finally strikes it rich and goes looking for his partner who has passed away and left a boy fatherless. The old man leaves his dog with the boy for company and is killed by his new partner. Lassie knows the truth and the man poisons her. She barely pulls through but when she does she goes after him.
