I’m not gullible and I’m not naive, but I do try and give people the benefit of the doubt. I have a difficult time believing someone could purposely want to take advantage of someone else for their own personal gain. For example, the freelance coder I recently hired to make improvements to my wordpress website. I’m not sure if he fully intended to scam me, but it definitely would have happened had I not taken immediate action.
What rules do you live by to ensure you’re not in this same situation?
