A playthrough of Episode 1 from Epic's Jazz Jackrabbit for DOS / Windows on hard mode. Jazz Jackrabbit is a platformer for the PC starring a rabbit with a big gun. It plays kind of like a combination of Sonic and Mega Man. It was pretty well known for its polished gameplay, awesome soundtrack, and the tie-in with the Gravis Gamepad. One thing that's probably immediately apparent is that this game is running at a sane rate of speed - that's because I've turned the turbo mode off. With it enabled, the game is ridiculously hard to control on new computers. This is much closer to the speed the game would have run at in 1994. This only covers the first episode of the game, which is the one that was available as shareware and most people are familiar with. There's actually a bunch of others, in the event that you want to see them you can leave a comment and I might eventually consider recording them. This video has some minor audio desync problems and there's a little bit of lag in parts of the game. Capturing videos of DOS games isn't easy. Jazz Jackrabbit copyright 1994 Epic Megagames.
