The residents of Mission Valley Village Mobile Home Park are victims of an egregious campaign of corporate greed. Citizens have unfairly lost their homes to Archstone Smith. The "compensation" given to them for their home by Archstone Smith was so severely below market value, the tactics can only be described as abuse. San Diego City Council gave Archstone Smith the green light to go ahead with their massive project, to demolish a quiet community of senior resident homes and replace them with luxury apartments. But they at least got an agreement from the conglomerate to pay a much more equitable relocation package. The problem now is they won't pay. Village Residents need your help. Write to Archstone Smith #3 MacArthur Place, Santa Ana, CA 92707. Tell them to pay these seniors what they had agreed to pay. Tell them to start acting like human beings and good corporate citizens. If their financial burdens are so great they can't pay, then put this property back on the market and allow these residents the right of first refusal--which was supposed to happen to begin with.
