New Research Reveals How Itâs The Older Generation (And Not Just Teenagers) Who Are Putting Their Sexual Health At Risk
New research released by The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain reveals that it is not just Teenagers and Young Adults who are taking risks with their sexual health. In fact, adults aged 45 and over are not using satisfactory protection when it comes to their sexual health.
The research reveals that nearly 1 in 5 (19%) 45-54 year olds admitted to having had unprotected sex with someone other than a long term partner in the past 5 years, and are taking risks with their sexual health when starting relationships with new partners.
Almost one-third (32%) of this age group described their risk of picking up an Sexually Transmitted Infection when having unprotected sex as either unlikely or very unlikely whilst a further 20% believed that their chances of picking up an infection were ânext to nothingâ.
