This video profiles a local artist of Virginia: Appalachian basket weaver Gary Carroll. Carroll learned the craft from his brother, and fell in love with the art of doing it the old way. Carroll, a passionate Virginia resident, enjoys dressing in colonial style while he searches out the perfect tree to treat and weave- creating an authentic basket in about 12 hours time.
