Green Hill Park, Worcester's largest municipal park is visited by Worcester Love. The park is over 480 acres and contains two ponds, a zoo, picnic grove, playground, little league field, golf course, and handball courts. It's also home to the Massachusetts Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, Summer theater performances, and the summer nationals.
The land was sold to the city at the dawn of the 20th century by the Green family for a discounted price as long as the city promised to take care of it and keep it a public park. If not then the heirs of the former Green estate can take it back. Let's make sure that never happens!
