Ahmadinejad tells critics: âWe will not surrenderâ
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad blasted his election rivals in a speech in Tehran on Thursday, saying that those who are continuously thrusting âtheir sharpened swords and spearsâ and âbad-mouthingâ others, should know that âthe Iranian nation is a follower of the Holy Fatemeh-e Zahra [the Prophet Mohammadâs daughter] and Imam Hossein [third imam of the Shiâis] and we have bared our throats for the blows of your spears, but we will not surrender,â reports the semi-official ISNA news agency.
