This car started life as a Porsche Carrera GT, but Uwe Gemballa went to town with â¬270,000 of mods to create a 670bhp monster. It has a new air intake, exhaust and engine remap, as well as a new clutch, suspension, bodywork, interior and a â¬20,000 set of wheels...
Part of the brief was to make a car that is easy to drive, as well as good looking, and so that ceramic clutch Porsche spent so much time developing went in the bin to be replaced with a tried and trusted racing number. The bodykit was designed in Stuttgart University's wind tunnel to help plant the car at higher speeds and the suspension, although it's fully adjustable, was actually set softer than the factory car when we drove it to get rid of the knife edge handling the Carrera GT is known for.
It's slightly faster than the Carrera GT, hitting 60mph in 3.6s and going on to 208mph, but it's now way more fun to drive. Distributed by Tubemogul.
