July 8 2009 Lake County Illinois,Wind NNE 2mph. 63 degrees. 8:30pm. Hunting Mature Whitetail's in velvet with night vision video camera. It's been tough to find mature whitetail's the last few day so I was trying to take advantage of every bit of shooting light available. I was just about to call it a night when this mature buck walked under my stand. I had to use my night vision for this nocturnal old buck that seemed to sense I was within 15 yards of him.
