The tricep dip is an extremely effective exercise for working out your shoulders, chest and triceps.
If you are just starting out, you can consider using the dip machine. The dipping machine allows for the resistance to be adjusted, so the trainer can build strength until they can lift the equivalent of their bodyweight for the required number of repetitions.
When you are stronger, you can go for the assisted dip. Either make use of the dip machines or ask a buddy to help. Basically, you are placing your knees on the dip machine or your buddy's hands when you do this exercise. By adjusting the position where you are resting your knees, you can adjust the resistance of the exercise.
A proper tricep dip requires you to position yourself so that your arms are fully extended. Slowly descends in a controlled manner and stopping the rep at the bottom. This is the one that you will see in this video.
