In Sound Therapy, sound is applied to the body or the energy field surrounding your body with various instruments. These instruments can include gongs, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, indigenous and modern instruments, rattles, etc. as well as the human voice. Sound therapy goes back through time to ancient drum circles and sacred ceremony but recently it has been discovered that human blood cells respond to sound frequencies by changing color and shape. It is hypothesized that sick or ârogueâ cells can be healed or harmonized by sound as they react to sound waves. Modern sound theory was developed and researched in the 1990s by French musician and acupuncturist Fabien Maman and US physicist Joel Sternheimer.
