I have drilled out holes and painted the primer pan orange to match my Soloist mess kit. I used a engine paint rated up to 500F. I believe I shouldnâÂÂt have any problems with the paint peeling off due to heat. Next step in making my alcohol stove well be to JB weld my center pan into the primer pan. I debating on what type of jet system to use. I think I am going to use a hybrid system of jets. I also trying to come up with a pot stand of some kind using a wall plate hanger.
