Lena Einhorn followed a non-traditional route to filmmaking; she began as a scientist. After turning to science documentaries as an outlet, she set out on a long journey to tell her motherâs story of escape from the Holocaust. In a unique twist, Lenaâs mother would serve as narrator to the feature film Lena would direct. Thus a feature film with documentary elements was created and âNinaâs Journeyâ would go on to win numerous awards. Lena talked to us about this project as well as her play âThe Living Roomâ and discusses the future of Jewish life and Israelâs affect on Jews in Sweden. Distributed by Tubemogul.
