The Green Team is a wild life conservation group based in the City of Edinburgh consisting entirely of volunteers who give up their time, volunteering for the conservation of wild life and conserving of our wild places in and around the Lothians which includes the areas around Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian. The groups main body of volunteering is by young people, aged 14-25 who come along on various day and weekend wildlife management courses using natural resources to save world wildlife through volunteer work who learn about the biodiversity, environmental issues as well as the importance of nature conservancy and conservation of wildlife. Since 1995, a total of over 1700 young wildlife conservationists have worked with the Green Team improving their local area, where young people carry out a community service for their area. There are also offers of wildlife conservationist jobs with the Green Team.
