The Wissahickon Charter School uses their surrounding urban and natural environments to help students and their families become active participants in learning. In addition to the school's green building elements, the curriculum seamlessly integrates environmental education. Students have learned to create bio-fuel, turned an asphalt pavement into a garden and participated in the GreenPlan Philadelphia process.
