Rehabilitation Clinics provide facilities for addicts and alcoholics to help them recover from their addictions. Most drug and alcohol clinics are private and charge a fee of quite substantial amounts for treatment. They are usually staffed by a number of counsellors who are either ex-addicts or ex-alcoholics themselves. They'll have already been through the process on a personal level at some point in the past and have first-hand knowledge of what goes into the programmes at rehabilitation clinics. As most addicts or alcoholics will, in the first instance, undergo a detox programme, most drug alcohol rehab clinics will also have a trained medical member of staff.
All addicts and alcoholics are treated on an in-patient basis. Some clinics take court referrals. Others only treat self-funding private patients. Either way, the clinics goal is to provide a treatment programme that the addict / alcoholic can follow and start on the road to recovery from their addiction. Some clinics charge a lot more expensive fees than others. The more expensive clinics tend to cater at the luxury end of the market and can offer spa treatments, luxurious private apartments etc.
The programmes last from 28 days to 90 days.RehabilitationClinics
