Adaawe is a six woman sensation. The founder, Joselyn Wilkinson sings, writes and plays tama talking drum, djembe and conga drums. Anindo, hailing from Kenya, writes music and bringing harmonies and djembe rhythms. Bridget Graham is a featured vocalist, while Danya drums from djembe to conga. Monique Afenjar holds down the foundation on the djun-djun, while Phylliss Bailey Brooks is the group's other vocalist. If you have love for world music, Adaawe is the group for you.
