Freelance Johnson is not traditional 60's surf rock, but a modern surf movement. On track 2 "Kali4nia" Crash sings "I gotta warn ya, this is California" which expresses surfers' territorial rights to waves along with a frustration with the increasing pollution.
The band got it's name from the famous surfing scene in "Apocalypse Now". Freelance Johnson will stop short of nothing to play their infectious music and ride the next big swell.
Hen House Studios is a record label and documentary film company in Venice, California. First made famous by their unique concept to record musicians for free in exchange for the right to film them, Hen House has grown to a premiere, web based multi media company featuring music videos, CDs, DVDs, and podcasts all produced by the studio.
