Metropolis is probably the most unusual bookstore. We have 15 foot walls, because we are located in the old Canadian Consulate which was built in 1909. The walls are a warm terracotta - there are lots of plants and fountains - and all the walls are lined with bookcases. We have a "living room" area, which comes in handy for author events.
