This was a project for my Communication Design class. We had to choose a movement, analyze it, and make three pieces reflecting a symbol, sign, and metaphor from the period. Three separate animations linked by the rising years. The first is the sign, a children crossing sign. Blown up by the ideal futurist war. The second was a symbol, a rotating bullet during a violent revolution against the machines. A symbol of war, bloodshed, and the end of humanity. And the third, a metaphor. "Light in a sea of darkenss". However, the darkness was humanity, and light is an even worse state, one overtaken by machines (shown through the eyes and gears) and without freedom or liberty (shown through the overtaking of the statue of liberty) By Paolo Cogliati Ringling College of Art and Design 2010 Music by Michele Cogliati
