Dominik De Leon and DJ Cyrus AKA Rapidfactor debut on Maelstrom with a big room progressive filler in the shape of âWave Aroundâ!
Dominik De Leon has been at the forefront of the dance industry for over a decade, releasing countless trance epics as part of the renowned duo DuMonde with Jam X. His background as an audio engineer is ever evident in his productions, from DuMondeâs most famous club anthems âTomorrowâ and âGod Musicâ to their remix work of Pushâs 'Universal Nation', CRW's, âI Feel Love', and Alice Deejay's, 'Better Off Alone'. Once ranked alongside the likes of Paul van Dyk, holding prestigious residencies in Germany including the world famous âDorian Grayâ the duo also became familiar to global audiences with regular guest spots at âGodskitchenâ and âGatecarsherâ in the UK, âVelfarreâ in Tokyo and âGlowâ in Washington D.C.
No stranger to chart success DJ Cyrus is most famed for his production work with The Joker and Beam. His club smashes âMilky Wayâ, âLaunching Progressâ and âU Canât Touch Thisâ made firm impressions in the dance charts (the latter reaching number 22 in his native Germanyâs Top 100 Singles). Moving on a couple of years and Cyrusâs label âCyrus Traxâ continues to go from strength to strength whilst he continues to DJ across the globe!
In 2009 these prolific producers decided to collaborate and form production outfit Rapidfactor. Their first release âSmokey Airâ took the scene by storm and was championed by Anjunabeat head honchoâs Above & Beyond. A fixed favourite in many DJs bags the track set the bar for future productions to come!
