This "Water is Life" concert was hosted by National Geographic and World Waterway to celebrate Nat Geo's international launch of their new book, "Written in Water, Messages of Hope for Earth's Most Precious Resource," a book edited by filmmaker (FLOW), Irena Salina. William Waterway is featured as one of the authors in "Written in Water" along with Alexandra Cousteau, Sandra Postel, Marion Stoddart, James Workman, Frank Clifford, Anupam Mishra, Fred Pearce, Maude Barlow, Rose George, Bill McKibben, Scott Harrison, Alex Mathiessen, and others.
