In the Havamal, there is a passage warning about harvesting a field too soon or trusting a son too early. And, isn't that something we see today? Wee see iussues of children not allowed to be children because of parents' focus on over-achievmanet as but one example. The lesson here is that the harvest is due when it is fulfilled. Many of us have faced a cop-out line that people use when talking about "God's time." And it seems strange that the same god who supposedly created the universe in six days (and then took the seventh off) couldn't work faster on our needs! Well, here we have a basic working definition of what is meant by "in God's time" (or the time of any other gods, goddesses, or other deities). Their time is the right time for it to be. That's all. But it's important for us to know to keep our perspective. And it also is a perspective that your Sunday school teacher never knew about. Blessed Be!
