Furisode is a formal dress intended for single women. The status is based on "the longer the higher" basis. Furisode is made by process know as Yuzenzome which is a dye-resist technique, or Katazome which is a stencil dyeing technique. Most often Furisode is worn during the "Coming of Age Day Ceremony". It is also a common place costume at a wedding ceremony, a tea party or a special event requiring a more formal wear.
