Some parade entries illustrated the festival theme, "Habitat for Insanity." Standouts included a flock of giant multicolored cuckoos, a quartet of 15-foot-tall walking puppets and a "cannibal village" float featuring caged mud-wrestling natives wearing tiny loin cloths.
Tourism officials said the festival brings approximately $30 million in annual revenues to the Florida Keys.
