Arriving at today's meeting of EU finance ministers in Brussels, George Osborne, the British finance minister, better known as Chancellor of the Exchequer, told journalists that he believes that supporting Ireland financially is in the 'interest of the UK'. During the meeting, finance ministers from the EU will discuss financial rescue options for the troubled Irish government's finances.
