Before the 1940s' Alastair Sim or 1950's Reginald Owen portrayal of Charles Dickens' beloved miser, Ebineezer Scrooge, Sir Seymour Hicks played the role in the very first, considered the best screen adaptation of "A Christmas Carol." Public Television revived this original airing it in the 60's and 70's, in the 1980's Carlson International acquired the video rights for release on it's Vidimax Home Entertainment label. CI distributed the UK made movie free at Yuletide to nursing home across the U.S. and now presents this masterpiece on the internet.
