I know TV screens at petrol stations aren't anything new in the USA, but they're relatively new to stations in Australia.
During my stay back in Sydney at the end of 2009 I found a petrol station playing news and commercials. One of the screens was very choppy though. I'm not sure how the content is displayed on the screens, but it looks like it was being streamed over a very slow data connection.
