Hi everyone, this is Michael. And welcome to EngPods. I knew it was going to be “one of those days” when my alarm clock didn’t go off. I was going to be late for school. There was no time for breakfast so I got dressed and ran out of the house to catch the bus. Unfortunately, I had just missed it. Way to go! I thought sarcastically. I was forced to go by foot. Suddenly I noticed a change in the weather. Dark clouds were gathering overhead. I heard thunder off in the distance and I knew a storm was brewing. I felt the first few drops on my head. In no time at all it was coming down in buckets. I mean it was raining cats and dogs. I had left my umbrella at home so I was totally soaked. Puddles were forming everywhere. The streets began to flood. I was miserable. To add insult to injury, a passing car splashed me with water. As if I weren’t already wet enough. But I was determined to get to school on time so I kept walking. By the time I had arrived, the weather started to clear up. The sun came out and the sky turned blue. A rainbow even appeared. I was feeling much better, even though I was sopping wet. I thought to myself that it wasn’t going to be one of those days after all. Things were looking up! What else could go wrong? Then it hit me. It was Sunday and school was closed! That’s all for now. See you next time!
