Vanessa Zamora sat down with public relations and new media expert, Sarah Evans, owner of Sevans Strategy. Evans, who was named one of Forbes' 14 Power Women to Follow on Twitter, sat down to talk with Zamora about a recent campaign in which she was able to help a local crisis center raise over $160,000 via social media. Evans shares her insight on how she advises clients on breaking into the new media space by integrating traditional media with strategic new media tactics. If you want people to buy in to your brand, the easiest thing a brand can do, according to Evans, is to ask what is desired. When asked what she would like to see more of in social media, as well as what is next, Evans responds that she would like to see more personalization in technology and more integration of real-time social. Lastly, Evans shares the top five websites she could not live without, a list that includes Twitter, Facebook, Google Reader, her very own Sevans Network for new PR pros and recent graduates, and Mashable.
